Basically every weekend from June to September is jam packed with concerts, races, and festivals. Below is a quick list of some of the awesome summer events you may want to attend in Mammoth.
Village Concert Series - From mid-June through the end of September there is an event every weekend at The Village in Mammoth. Some of the favorites include Feel Good Fest, Mammoth Reggae Festival, Mammoth Margarita Fest, and Rock N Rye. Check The Village at Mammoth website for dates and details.
Mammoth Motocross, June 22-June 30, 2024 - Every year, the best amateur riders in the country descend upon Mammoth Lakes for one of the best motocross events of the year. We even get the occasional pro rider who shows up to test their skill at the challenging alpine dirt track. Riders like Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, James Stewart, Mike Bell, Ryan Dungey, Ryan Villopoto, and Eli Tomac have raced Mammoth.
4th of July Parade - The 4th of July is a great time to be in Mammoth. The weather is great, it's peak hiking season, and you can go biking, stand up paddle boarding, and fishing all in the same day. For the parade, they close the two main streets in town (Old Mammoth Rd & Main street) and a number of local businesses participate in marching down the road by foot, float, vehicle, bike, or firetruck.
Bluesapalooza, Aug 1-4, 2024 - The Mammoth Festival of Beer and Blues is one of the best events of every year in Mammoth. It is the largest ticketed event in the Eastern Sierra. Listen to Blues music from nationally touring bands and taste beer from some of the best breweries in the country.
Mammoth Trail Fest, Sept 19-22, 2024 - The Mammoth Trail Fest in a relatively new event for our town, but is quickly gaining momentum as on of the top events of the summer. This suffer fest of epic proportions attracts pro athletes, semi-pro trail runners, locals, and anyone who wants to challenge their physical ability. Essentially, for 3 days people are running from town to the top of Mammoth Mountain and back. They also have vendor booths and music at the start and finish of the race in The Village.
Obstacle Course Race World Championships, Oct 4-6, 2024 - This will only be the 2nd year of the OCR in Mammoth Lakes, but the sport of obstacle course racing is growing quickly. So, we wouldn't be surprised if the event gets bigger an bigger in the next few years. In addition to the races, there is a finish line festival and music all weekend long.
